## Position on legal process (important)
Intervault Custody complies with valid subpoenas and court orders. It is a
custodian of LAWFULLY HELD property. It is NOT a means of placing assets beyond
the reach of a court, a creditor, a restitution order, a forfeiture proceeding,
or a bankruptcy estate. Entity and trust rental exist for continuity of access,
not for concealment. Do not describe this service as anonymous or as a way to
hide assets.

## The core argument
A bank safe deposit box fails silently over a multi-year absence:
1. Rent goes unpaid because nobody is present to pay it.
2. Notice goes to a stale address.
3. A statutory dormancy period runs.
4. The bank drills the box.
5. Contents are surrendered to the state as unclaimed property.
6. Tangible property is commonly auctioned; a later claimant receives proceeds,
   not the item.
Custody terms here are prepaid annually with a named custodian on file, which
removes that failure mode.
