What we are, and what we are not
Florida Intervault is a private vault facility. It is not a bank, does not take deposits, does not lend, and does not offer banking services of any kind. Contents stored here are not FDIC insured — no safe deposit box anywhere is, including at a bank. Contents insurance is available separately through Lloyd’s of London.
The facility was modelled on Bank Hauser in Basel, Switzerland, and engineered to meet Federal Reserve vault standards. In practice that means a 9R structure, two 14,000-pound John Tann doors, and a building designed for a coastline rather than a business park.
Intervault Custody is the arm of the facility built for long-term arrangements: property placed for a defined term by a client who will not be able to look after it themselves, with a named custodian who can. Referrals come mainly from South Florida defense counsel.
We operate within the law and expect our clients to do the same. We comply with valid subpoenas and court orders, and we publish that position rather than leaving it vague. We do not provide legal, tax, or reporting advice, and nothing on this site should be read as such.
