Why this matters
What goes wrong over a long term
This is the property most often lost, because it is the property nobody assigns a value to. It gets boxed, moved, stored in a garage, and thrown out by someone who did not know. A multi-year absence almost guarantees at least one uninformed decision about a box of photographs.
How custody handles personal effects & photographs
- A signed inventory means somebody has written down that these exist.
- Stable climate — photographs and paper degrade fastest in Florida heat.
- One location, so there is nothing to reconstruct later.
- Family can view items mid-term in a private room without removing them.
Which box size fits
Photographs, letters, and small effects fit a 5×15×24. Larger albums and framed items may need a 10×10×24.
Common questions
- Is there a minimum value?
- No. Sentimental property is a normal reason to rent, and it is the one clients are most grateful for later.
- Can family look without taking?
- Yes, in a private viewing room, by appointment.
- Will photographs survive the term?
- In controlled climate, far better than in a Florida garage or closet.
Set custody up before the date, not after.
Tours are private and by appointment. You will see the vault door, the man-trap entry, and the box sizes in person. No account relationship is required to visit.
